How about that it would not have passed without the evangelicals teaming up with women’s suffragettes?
Or that afterwards women became a fixture in illegal bars for the first time, not just there to buy booze for hubby at the side door?
And, topper on that, when it fell it was because those same suffragist women voted it down with their new freedoms…
I love teaching booze history.

Thankfully Ottawa as a government town it is only us "Essential" people who have to go in... But regrettably that means we are probably exempted from snow day privileges...
