@kobi_lacroix In my case I had to do this twice before being off the hook. The first time we just waited around for an hour, the defendant never showed up, so we were all sent home (meaning I technically made $15 an hour for the first and only time in my life lol).

Second time we got to the courtroom but I wasn't selected, and so the rest of us went home.

I dressed formally cause I thought that was proper, but most people wore like, a polo shirt at best lol.

So first you'll go through security, that's like 50% as strict as TSA, thereabouts. Just empty your pockets, no need to take off shoes, etc. At least in my courthouse.

Then you'll be in a boring waiting room with a ton of other people (maybe less so during the pandemic, idk).

Eventually, you'll get called into the courtroom, they'll select the jury, and then everyone else leaves.

You might do this a couple times over a few days.
