Hella jumbled metadata - sh.itjust.works

So i just stood up my jellyfin and went poking around and huge sections of my library where missing,… Or so I thought. Turns out they where just combine with other things. For example I am a huge fan of the Canadian band The Birthday Massacre, I have all their albums (Even the original Imagica tapes, anyhow), well I searched for them and its just a jumble of all their tracks. It jumps from Violet to Imagica to Nothing and Nowhere, then back to Imagica… you get the point. If I search for the album specifically it can de-tangle it. But if I just search through tracks or artist, all the songs are mixed. Another example The Protomen from Nashville. They have a whole thing about naming their albums Act 1, Act 2, ect… save a few one off shows. Well Jellyfin is acting like it has never heard the word Act before, and so my page for them is also utter chaos. Jellyfin shows me one album The Protomen… ok Track 1 Hope rides alone, Track 1 Hope Rides Stallone… (technically that’s makeup and Vanity Set, but eeh…) Track 1 Intro, Track 1 The Calm… soo many issues. Am I just daft or is there someway to fix this? Cuz the tags on each of these files on my system are correctly labeled but Jellyfin is acting like a fool about these tags.

Press’s load letter, what in salvation’s name does that mean?
Oh my darling tangerine 😆 JKJK
It looks like Ai letter salad to me. I could be wrong but I’m on high dpi screen and can’t make it out enough to read but it has serious letter salad vibes.
I like cinnamon, so I intended it as a compliment.
I like it its like if you wanted to get cinnamon but mom said “we have cinnamon at home”
Anybody else watch the like documentary on (I want to say) forgotten arms about this and how they basically rented a space just to make it look like they where a bigger operation for when the general or whoever came in?

I honestly endorse the cult of thinkpads, get an old t-series or some other cheap model. They have excellent driver compatability and access to tinker with the hardware. If you want to build it out to be a behemoth with an i7-i9 with like 16gb and a small boot drive but a massive spinning rust drive that’s doable. But it’s also a good light machine, say you keep it on 8gb and a 256 or whatever stock is… that’s still a good machine.

I’m currently running an ancient windows 7 era Dell machine and it works great its just showing it’s age in physical condition and thermals. Unfortunately it is a tank of laptop when it comes to lugging it around (especially compared to a modern thin& light). but even that still has enough horsepower as a 2ng Gen core i3 with 8gb and a 1tb spinning rust drive, for some light stuff like ,music playing and writing.

You might think about tossing ubuntu with lxqt or sway on the MacBook. Just be sure you have a way to get internet set up most the wifi cards in MacBook don’t work out of the box.
