EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS ARE SET UP!

I live in NC, right at the border of SC, and Hurricane Florence is predicted to hit right in between NC and SC, ergo I will be impacted heavily.

PLEASE BOOST THIS! Even if you don't plan on commissioning, doing so will help immensely!

One of the best skill I’ve developed over the past year is the ability to recognize high-leverage actions. For any given task ask yourself: “do we need *me* to do it or we need *someone* to do it?”

In other words, if there’s added value that only you can bring by working on it, do it yourself. Otherwise, delegate that task.

So many Masto cats, so here’s one from me.

Did you know that https://communitywiki.org/trunk exists?

It's a new project where you can find people in the Fediverse and follow them by topic.

Also, you can request to be included. It's a really cool idea.

If you are new to Mastodon or you are looking for more interesting people to follow, you should check it out.

HOORAY!

Today the hashtag I was typing came up in CamelCase/PascalCase instead of all lowercase in the "suggested" popup.

Little steps of software progress make me very happy. Thank you #MastoDevs

Sight impaired users benefit from their screen readers' "understanding" the hashtags with each word capitalized.

the baby bunnies were safely nestled under the planter pot, yayy~ this is the best look ive been able to get of them, theyre under a very secure patch of thistles so hard to get at.
i only checked on them for about a minute before putting the pot back over them so as not to disturb them too greatly.

After getting my storage for photos and videos worked out, I was able to process the photos I took in mid-July at a wildlife management area in Maryland. This photo is one of the busy bees there.

If you mentally separate tin-pot dictatorships from the actions of wealthy established countries like the US, now might be the time for a categorical shift. This isn't even anything new - children are still taken from native families under questionable circumstances using the Indian Child Welfare Act, because there's a monetary incentive.

Read: We've already been selling other people's kids.

If you live outside the US, I welcome your fury at the behavior of our broken-ass government.

Saw Solo today. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. There were many moments that the film obviously meant to be touching to the audience, but there wasn't enough character development to actually make me feel it. I wasn't attached to the characters I was meant to be because I didn't know enough about them. If they'd spent less time on the action and a little more on character, it might have been better. #solo #movies
