Since power goes out often in the fall and winter in the PNW, I have decided to build a dedicated enclosure for our backup generator with auto venting and exhaust using left over lumber. It will be hooked into our generator panel. Another summer project almost done.

Proper direct drive wheel now installed on the #simracing motion simulator setup. Worth every penny. This has been such a fun project to build.

Whoever designed the alternator location on this car should be forced to drive a Chris Bangle designed BMW with working indicators.

It's been a while since I posted pics of this project. Still working through some minor bugs like the traction loss stops after a while however this is as much fun to play on as you can imagine .. even more in vr. Full haptic feedback included. #simracing

Wiring can finally commence, and I am trying to make it look halfway decent. Am not as far as I thought I'd be, but life, weather, and other unforeseen circumstances such as 2 power outages lasting over 30 hours together meant slower progress. #simracing

New pedals and shifter fit perfect .. now off to finalize the motors and wiring. The wheel is a cheapo but it will do for now. #simracing
