I sometimes develop games and applications through Unity, and in the integrated Unity Asset Store there are plenty of people selling templates and frameworks to start on, so I do believe there’s a market for it.

On itch.io I’ve bought a few asset packs with sprites and sounds. I’m guessing there are also game templates, although I have never looked for them.

I’ve mostly bought stuff when they’re part of a Bundle, so I would look into that to increase the perceived “value”.

In another article, I read that it happens when you have the Valorant launcher running – because it clashes with the kernel-level anticheat. Having it installed and closed shouldn’t cause any issues.

This list right here matches what is considered top of the line components right now. I would even call it “overkill”.

What games does your daughter usually play? Because even for modern games, you do not need a 5090 or 4090 graphics card to play 4K max settings. A 4080 or 5080 is enough.

Same with the CPU. You can also change the 9950X3D for a 9800X3D and that would be very future proof.

As for the RAM, usually with 32GB, you are perfectly safe for high-end gaming, but the prices have gone down in the past year and you might as well put 64GB in there.

Storage is fine. It’s pricey, but one less headache since games nowadays take too much space. More SSDs can be connected if she needs more space later on.

The monitor is one thing I fully agree on. It’s OLED and very expensive, but having bought one myself, I don’t see me coming back to a LED display.

The case is all about personal taste and ease of assembling the computer.

And the motherboard and PSU can be paired back if the CPU and/or GPU are also paired back.

Overall, it’s your decision. I just wanted to communicate that a good gaming PC doesn’t need to cost you three months’ worth of salary. But if you don’t want to change anything, you can be assured that you’re buying her the very best consumer components at this time. But know that you can give her “4K Max Settings” for way less money.

I was out of the loop of Marvel content for a while (last thing I saw was Deadpool & Wolverine) and went to watch Thunderbolts at the cinema to kill an evening.

It was way better than I expected. It’s not “absolute cinema” by any means, but the plot is pretty interesting and it touches on some sensitive subjects in a thoughtful way.

Overall I think it’s worth your time if you want to follow the upcoming Marvel movies.

That’s really weird… Have you reverted the Notification panel back to it’s original behaviour? I have it like that and it works same as it ever was.

At some point in my city there were two shops open in the same street, 100m from each other. Now there’s just one open, but it’s insane seeing six employees inside with such a low volume of customers.

Good to know that then! I’ll look for a MemCard PRO as others suggested when I eventually expand my setup to unify both of my MemoryCards.

As far as longevity goes, I have been using the same 8MB official MemoryCard from a launch PS2 my dad bought, with no issues ever. If you have a big collection of games you might run out of space eventually, but deleting save files is pretty easy in the system OS.

I bought a separate 8MB official MemoryCard to install FreeMCBoot on a few years back, but I haven’t used it to save any files. It should work the same, though, despite having the Homebrew on it.

If you live in Europe you can buy all sorts of MemoryCards at CeX, asking in the counter as they usually don’t display them. I guess anywhere else where they sell and buy second hand games they have MemoryCards too.

I haven’t tried any third party ones like MadCatz or the new MicroSD ones, maybe someone else can share their experience :)

IIRC you get an extra robbery mission, a hideout mission, an extra outfit and some more things like store discounts and stat bonuses.

The rest is Online mode bonuses like free weapons and outfits.

If you go for the regular edition I don’t think you’ll notice these “missing” things.

I had this same issue with an LG OLED monitor. I’m not 100% sure this was the solution as it was long ago, but you need to NOT have the USB-C power cable connected to the dock, just the HDMI. Connect the Deck to the dock and you’ll get image. After this you can plug the dock back to the power cable.
