The older I get, the less I want to learn new competitive games because I just don’t have time anymore. It’s just nice to go back to something familiar every now and then.

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina resigns and leaves country as protesters storm palace - Lemmy.World

Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned on Monday as thousands of protesters defied a military curfew and stormed her official residence, sparking violence that killed at least 20 people according to local police. Army chief Waker-Uz-Zaman confirmed in a televised address that Hasina had left the country and that an interim government would be formed. Hasina’s resignation comes as deadly protests over the reintroduction of a quota scheme for government jobs began in July this year.

Easily one of my favorite games ever. It’s such a good way to relax.

Trump's White House Was 'Awash in Speed' -- and Xanax - Lemmy.World

Under Trump, the White House Medical Unit was “like the Wild West,” and staffers had easy access to powerful stimulants and sedatives, sources say.

Been testing out iced recently. I wish it had a better documentation, but otherwise it’s pretty cool.

Protests and pressure: Why are French farmers so powerful? - Lemmy.World

Farmers in France, as in many other countries, wield a lot of political power — for historical and contemporary reasons. Their influence carries certain risks.

I have one SSD which I use as a data drive between both Linux and Windows. I used to run Steam games from it, but there were some small problems sometimes, so nowadays I just use it as a storage.

Generally it works just fine, but sometimes Windows does something weird with it especially when running updates, so that Linux can’t mount it. During those times I just have to boot to Windows desktop and then come back to Linux and it usually mounts again. If you totally get rid of Windows, I don’t think this will happen to you though.

Because they are not doing it because of customers, they are doing it for themselves. It’s easier to manage things on a corporate level when the data is also separated similarly as their companies are.
My guess is that they just want to separate GOG and their game accounts from each other because they are easier to manage that way. I think in legal sense GOG is still a separate corporate entity even though it’s owned by CD Projekt.
