Spending time at Sony CSL research lab was a deep dive into Al diffusion networks. I now see how Al sound generation isn't just a tool, it's shaping the aesthetics of sound itself.
A big topic was also the politics of training data (most of the training data is scrapped from artists without consent).
Excited about the ideas we explored on combining robotics with latent space exploration. Hoping to continue this journey with the Sony team

Im currently in Paris for a micro residency at Sony CSL. This academic focused research unit from Sony exists for many years already. During the residency they introduced me to their AI prototypes, and I got to try out some AI tools that are not published. Crazy stuff. I will post a video on this in the next days!
