So I have now been regularly posting on Mastodon for a week. I like it here. I shall be staying. No one has tried to engage me with superficial attempts of emotion. Twitter is a disorganised environment. It is inefficient and contentious. πŸ––

@Bearhouse I love trees dearly. Married a forester long ago. Have helped in the planting of over 500 trees on our little farm when we had it some 25 years ago. On visiting back two years ago they've grown into a 20 acre forest. Beautiful. So I love your name.. #lovegrove.
If I get a chance again, I will plant many more trees. One grove will bear your name. The Earth Mother will smile and bless them.

In a country where people, even children, are gunned down en masse on a daily basis, guns like the AR-15 are obviously the problem. But this shooting in #ColoradoSprings is more than that, because the violence was targeted at people who have been endlessly othered for years by conservative politicians, conservative media, and, very recently, even by so-called liberal artists and intellectuals. 1/3
