Once, two ladies were struggling with the bottle return machine at the store. They were holding up several other customers.
An older Dutch man decided to complain about those "fucking immigrants" to me.
I was honest and told him I was an immigrant (in Dutch). He looked surprised and responded with "Oh, well... I don't mean YOU."
I am a part of that group and will face the consequences of being a part of that group whether you mean me or not.
I think about this a lot.

Yesterday I experienced ReMastered: an interactive art installation based on the Dutch masters like Rembrandt, Jeroen Bosch, Vermeer, Van Gogh and Mondriaan.
It was -amazing-. I wish more people treated it less like an art museum. The finale just begged to be danced to.
So this awful Copilot is now integrated into everything on my computer - I'm a teacher and I -need- it turned off to work on documents that require academic integrity or documents that include children's personal information.
Unfortunately, I'm not finding anything particularly helpful short of making registry edits, and even then it's a temporary fix. Anyone have any ideas?
I am facing an odd moral conundrum. I am vehemently against using AI, but I have to write some high-level language documents in my second language where I am still very insecure.
My boss has told me to use chatGPT as a translation tool (specifically the paid version).
Thoughts?
