1 "politics" refers to decision-making about how to live together in groups
2 choosing to not participate in political discussion is saying you support the status quo, and is a political stance
3 abstaining from politics because you feel safe from its impacts is a privilege and a choice to abandon your more vulnerable neighbours

Sid 🇵🇸Kevin Conroy's Bruce Wayne made some kind of attempt (in the '90s even) to fix some of the weird contradictions of Batman. He was a billionaire who genuinely tried to help his community, and reached out personally to help the troubled people who, uh, tended toward supervillainy around him. Not too realistic, but his performance was convincing and it worked in the reality of the show. You believed he wanted to help people, which isn't something I get from any other portrayal of the same character
