From Wichita to Memphis, all for the love of working on Flight Simulators, great food, and enjoying life. Opinions expressed are my own and not of my Employer.

good morning and Merry Christmas to all who celebrate today. Santa did his recurrent check ride in a level D Full flight simulator
keeping a tradition alive for my youngest after my teens reminded me that we weren't tracking #SantaClause. thru the #noradtrackssanta up on the tv
when #TVA can't keep up with power demand....
currently 12 degrees with a windchill of - 5 in #memphistn. I might be from the great plains of Kansas but this cold is stupid.
@brunomiguel
it indeed is and unfortunately while most creatives, marketing and advertising folks understand CC a lot of small businesses and such don't.
@brunomiguel
while I do prefer open licensing, and still have many pictures that are open licensed due to them being of landmarks or of something that is representing my home town, I have several shots I've taken that I want to protect. while creative commons is still a copyright license, I've found that it's mostly ignored unless legal action is threatened where having an actual copyright © has a tendency to make them pause and reach out before using it.

@brunomiguel
due to organizations regularly ignoring CC licensing and using my photos without attribution like was required, I moved most of my works under full copyright and required people using my photos prior to the Change to either attribute to me or remove the photos.

most chose just to remove the photos. I have pretty well since removed most of my photos off of spaces like deviantart and developing a new website that protects my work.

just a reminder to my #Memphis and really all of the #Fediverse as you finish up your Holiday shopping if you can shop local! many of your local small businesses are still struggling especially with inflation on the run.
@mikelsigler yup same! hoping more of the #Memphis peeps from the 🐦 site move over.

@shaun it's pretty unique, and definitely not for someone who can't think on their feet. it has roughly 6 core skill sets and about 10 other sub skill sets on those six.

I was very fortunate to have a great team of people to learn from when I was getting started and additional education from vendors as time progressed.
