This has to be one of the more fascinating insights from Red Star Over China. I wonder what experiencing that level of closeness with so many other people would be like? What do you think? For me, part of my interest in experiencing a collective effort like this is partially motivated by how long I've had to separate myself from other people because of the pandemic. But that being said it reminds me of the feeling of working the line in a kitchen when it's crazy busy but you're still keeping up. You feel like one machine, one collective entity, dancing and performing with a single will. Then all of a sudden service is over and you blink and realize the last 6 hours was a complete blur.
