Finding pens that are refillable with your own ink and with swappable tips has become a big thing for me. Less waste and a pen that’ll be with you for ages. My first copics are 20 years old now and it showed me I didn’t have to settle for prismacolor and the waste. I’m glad more companies are following.
In character but also technique and understanding.
Looking at my most recent art of Mehndi vs the first is kind of wild.
I will still believe that there’s still more good than bad in our world. We will get through.
Only 10 pages left in my sketchbook and that feels pretty good. It’ll have taken less than a year to get it filled.
I did at least finally finish Going Postal. I got sidetracked a lot this month with visits, which were good things but makes reading harder.
I found more ghosts of the art store I used to work at. I went to The Center for Creative Reuse today and the heavy plastic stacking shelves for large paper sheets is the one from the store. The price tags were partial still taped to the sides. It’s weird to trip over that but I’m glad they weren’t just trashed.
I might apply for Wild Minds Sip and shop and see what I can offload.
Someday I need business cards again now that social media has kind of settled down.
All the art for the art show is packaged and ready to take to UPS. I’m also absolutely sick of this snail issue and they’ve been hanging out in the filter which means it’s not filtering well. I took the nuke option and put all the parts of the filter in boiled water and I want this to be the end of it. The poor filtering means the detritus worms are just everywhere and they’re good to have but they need to stay in the substrate.
