Tea:Milk, no sugar (and keep it coming)
@ben My 6’4” other half used the Ergo baby very happily
@[email protected] @dotcode agreed that’s a big markup but as Jude says, you’re paying for the labour. Who’s going to fit it if you buy it for £100? How much will you pay them?
@mo lovely news. Congratulations!
(Hi, this is my mid life career crisis. I recommend everyone pivots to activities that involve more tea, problem solving and contact with actual humans or animals/plants, YMMV)
(Incidentally, shrugging off the cloak of digital/social consultancy feels great because I have been increasingly frustrated that digital [waves hands] stuff is just so much self-justifying busywork and doesn’t actually help anything. So aligning with that professionally has felt like a millstone.)

Updating website, LinkedIn to reflect my changed professional direction over recent years.

TL;DR - less time being well paid to talk about intangible things in a hypothetical way, more time on the ground being badly paid but getting on with actually supporting people and fixing things.

@Thayer have you watched The Last Kingdom? It’s Vikings and drama and not quite as battlefield as the Vikings series (more story) but very watchable in an epic saga series kind of way.
@[email protected] has it got those little screw feet on the bottom? To help them level on wobbly floors?
@mattgemmell also, since timeline, search and replies are now weighted to show blue ticks first, why would anyone want to be in a place where the first/only things you see are contributions by people who have paid to be seen?
@annapickard hang on, if they just keep applying the same questions to different aspects of the business, they never need to actually do anything to resolve them, just keep shuffling round the consultants! Win win.
