@chopaganda my prediction for the phish 40 list: cypress cracks the top 10. The event in its entirety is not a disappointment but I hold that the midnight set, musically, was a letdown. Best jam of the weekend was during the afternoon set (melt>catapult). Most memorable moment was the fog during mikes (12/30). And no crazy segues, teases, or even a harpua! The midnight set had no flow. And the jams were enjoyable but nothing truly epic and groundbreaking

@chopaganda @HapsInCO steamboat is a great mountain. Had 2 days there including one groomer day the weekend before COVID shut down the world and a mini powder day in late March last year. Lapped morningside trees all morning before I had to leave because my son smashed his finger under a rock! The hot springs in town rule. Don’t get suckered into taking the shuttle to the springs that are kinda far off

@ShakedownSax @chopaganda drowned>AM was amazing! I also loved the R&R. But I was hoping for/expecting real out of the box craziness at some point. Like a tease-fest, or crazy ass segues, and HARPUA. As I said, the festival surpassed expectations on the whole, but the midnight set could have been different
@chopaganda I managed to trade 1 ticket for this show for 2 Springsteen MSG tix about a month later. It was the E street band’s first MSG shows in like 10 years and they were going to debut “41 shots” and the NYPD was going to protest by just not showing up and we were like “OK!”. Wore a tux to this show and it was just OK but Springsteen was absolute 🔥
@drewphish I got ginseng Sullivan at 6 out of my first 8 shows. But I wasn’t at 12/11/95 so check your privilege 😂
