Updated my app.h C library to support standard gamepads, for both windows, osx/linux and wasm.

There's a web build here for trying it: https://mattiasgustavsson.com/wasm/gamepad.html

Library can be found here: https://github.com/mattiasgustavsson/libs/blob/main/app.h

I also updated the app.h template project: https://github.com/mattiasgustavsson/template_project

For those of us who still do software rendering, these alpha-blending tricks are still useful 🙂

If you haven’t tried it, give my game Neon Lies a go. It’s free and plays in the browser. I’m quite proud of it, I think it’s among the better things I’ve made. If you play it, I’d love to hear what you think of it 🙂

Here's a prototype for a single channel of the sound system for the fantasy console. I wanted to do something else than just square waves or fm synthesis, so this is a subtractive synthesizer.

You play notes using the keyboard keys, and you can click/drag values

Digging through books looking for inspiration for my fantasy console
For anyone who'd like to make their own, the pdf is available here https://segaretro.org/images/1/18/GenesisTechnicalOverview.pdf and I've attached here the cover I designed for it
Another bookbinding project. I'm reading up on the technical aspects of old computers/consoles, and found this detailed tech spec of Sega Genesis, and as I prefer reading stuff in book form, I designed a basic cover for it, printed it and bound it. It came out pretty sweet :)
Another homemade bookbinding project. I couldn’t find a copy of ”Atari ST Internals” to buy, but it is readily available as PDF, so I printed the whole thing, bound it and put a hardcover on it (it was originally only available as softcover I think). Very pleased with it :)
Here’s a quick flick-through:
I made another hardcover book, this time of “The Complete Atari ST”, a series of pull-out pages in Atari ST User magazine in the late 80s. I printed the pages in color, did a “perfect binding” with laminated printouts on posterboard for the cover. Quite pleased with the result🙂
