I mean no disrespect to the designers, but I honestly don’t see much creative exploration in these typefaces. Ethiopic scripts are complex, but they are also incredibly expressive and rich with design potential. These fonts feel mechanically produced (AI slop) rather than meticulously designed, which is disappointing for a script with such deep visual culture. Sorry for my words.

Google Sans’s serifs resemble those of Adobe’s Kigelia Ethiopic.
