I'm old enough to remember the "disappeared" in Argentina in the 1970s. And I watched 2024's "I'm Still Here" win an Oscar for its depiction of the "disappeared" in Brazil in the 1960s. Never did I imagine that the US would have its own "disappeared" to mourn. Yet here we are.
