Beat Sonic Pocket Adventure tonight. First Sonic game I've actually beaten. I can see why IGN gave it such a good score.

Do I think it deserves a 10/10? No, but it manages to do almost everything right. Music is inspired by/remixed from Sonic 3 and Knuckles, while zones are remixed from Sonic 2 with brand new level design that fixes the difficulty curve a little bit. It also has really good physics that shine in levels like Cosmic Casino Zone, and good physics overall.

Does anyone know of any must-play Neo Geo Pocket and/or Neo Geo Pocket Color games?

Anyway, Brett's car was totaled today. He's fine, his wife is fine, their little girl is fine. But he's a school teacher trying to support a family. Did I mention that? He teaches elementary school special education, in spite of the fact that it barely pays anything.

His car was totaled. Insurance is going to cover some of it, but not enough for him to replace it with something reliable. Listen to some of his music and, if you like it, maybe buy some, or tell someone else about it so that he can get a new car.

I mean, I'm a Genesis guy all the way, and a Bubsy sympathizer, but playing devil's advocate here. Bubsy wasn't inherently GOOD, but it proved that if someone REALLY wanted to make a really good Sonic competitor for the SNES, the SNES was fully capable of running such a game.

Like- Bubsy's problem was level design. Functionally, it runs as good as Sonic 1. And at times Bubsy runs faster than Sonic in Sonic 2. And graphics stay fairly smooth. It actually proved the SNES could compete in a way that most other games failed to show.

Most Sonic clones with Sonic-esque gameplay either fail to show the SNES's capabilities because they shy away from Sonic-style gameplay or they were Genesis exclusives.

But Bubsy showed that while the game wasn't great, the SNES was capable

Honestly?

Despite it's flaws, Bubsy: Claws Encounter of the Furred Kind is probably the strongest argument for the SNES up against Sonic's claim of "blast processing".

What I mean is, it proved that the SNES, without any additional chips or anything required for the later graphical improvements, could run a game exemplifying the same Sonic speed and action as the Genesis, despite Sega's claims otherwise.

"By 2020, China plans to give all its 1.4. billion citizens a personal score, based on how they behave. Some with low scores are already being punished if they want to travel. Nearly 11 million Chinese can no longer fly and 4 million are barred from trains"
wut

Black Mirror: "heh here's a creepy horror show showing what society should never, ever do"
China: "HEY THAT'S A F***ING GREAT IDEA LET'S ENACT IT NATIONWIDE"

So apparently the Switch version of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze actually runs a little bit worse in portable mode than the WiiU version..

*sports announcer voice*
"And the score is, WiiU 1, Switch 999.
Looks like we might have a game here after all, folks!"

@Marclm13 The flintstones was just The Honeymooners in the stoneage.

Unpopular opinion-

The Jetsons is miles better than the Flintstones, no buts about it. It's not even close. The best thing about the Flintstones is Fruity Pebbles and that's not even part of the show.
