I prepare fossils for my local natural history museum. Our lab has a big window we can open to the public space while we work. My favorite days are when we get school groups and I can explain to them what I'm working on.

I was preparing this mammoth femur from San Diego a year ago. It's relatively shorter than those of mastodons, and markedly different in shape.
