I was a**ested for remaining sitting [with 6 others] on Beltway Oct 10. I live in Chapel Hill, I am 68. I helped out with the July 4th Beltway and other actions. There were 4 NC-ians a***ested on 7/4; there are now 5 of us NC-ians in D.E. busted [besides you, heh] who live in the Triangle and could do some kind of activity here. You may want to choose to stick with scientists (but Duke U is pretty corporate!) & we have fought a coal plant ON UNC CAMPUS!! plus horrible monopoly 'Dook" energy, it's tough here!! But we BEAT their A.C. p*peline!)
We (7) have court in a few weeks. (date now to change, was to be 11/28)
We (7) have a zoom session with the lawyer tonight at 6:30.

But my ask of you to call our lawyer and/or the Declare Emergency org'ers below; they are in the process of using NECESSITY defense :) for their prior (April) sit, they just had a pre-trial thing this past week about it! (good development!)

Maybe you, or M. Mann (he has done that) or other(s) could prep an appearance at their (12/12) trial, or ours, in case the court would allow it.

I am nervous about mean, yucky, freezing crap-food jail, but as we all say there are ppl really suffering and dying from CC so this is nothing.
