I had to borrow a bit of money to get the Switch 2 so I don't have any new games for it yet, but I'm enjoying all the small conveniences for now. Like being able to connect headphones from the quick menu (very nice not to have to dig into settings every time) or the fan not freaking out immediately upon launching a game (idk why my OLED S1 does that, the regular one I had before that didn't). Also the improved performance in games that *desperately* needed a boost.
I actually could afford Hyrule Warriors if I didn't keep missing the under 40€ offers on Ebay.

Recently, I took an interest in collecting physical media for my favorite cartoons & anime alongside some other stuff that I think would fit alongside them. I originally did this out of paranoia for Internet censorship and the lack of any real official efforts to preserve media online, but now, DVDs/Blu-Rays have become my preferred way to watch stuff. To me, this is much better than having to deal with constant buffering, inconsistent video quality, and streaming services jacking up their prices for no good reason.
There's also the neat part of actually owning a copy of something you enjoy. Additionally, there are the fun bonus features, creators' commentary, multi-language audio tracks, and slick box arts. I was partially inspired by @COMPU73E and @outofprintarchive for this. I've built up a small collection over the past few weeks. It's not much, but personally, this library of mine is very fulfilling and better represents my tastes in what I watch.
I have a Switch 2 now. Was going to wait but between the potential price increase and a very good deal (419€ for the MKW bundle) I don't expect a better opportunity in the future.
This means I can now play Splatoon with a REALLY shitty wi-fi connection and maybe actually post screenshots of my gaming misadventures now that screenshots can be posted to the app and I don't have to do the cumbersome workaround with the QR codes to get them on my phone.
