A quick reminder that law enforcement *responds* to crime, but a living wage, food and water security, accessible healthcare, and public education *prevent* crime.
If you want safer communities, invest in people, not punishments.
I went through that at Berkeley in the 2000s
Walgreens is a joke. They set their retail prices obscenely high. I stopped going there when I became uninsured for a few months. They wanted hundreds of dollars for a generic, so I went elsewhere and purchased my Rx for $30.
When I tried getting my flu shot there while insured, I was told they did not accept my BCBS PPO (the most common insurance in town). So I got it elsewhere because they wanted $80.
Never going there again.
I’m so sick of this crap

Actual conversation I had…
Me: Billionaire philanthropy is nothing more than PR. Tax billionaires.
Troll: Lol you trust the Govt to spend our money?
Me: Yes, the Govt is elected by We the People, and therefore is accountable to us and can be voted out.
Troll: Govt is bought.
Me: Bought by who?
Troll: By billionai—...😳
Me: ...🤔
Troll: Ok, Tax billionaires.
I couldn’t believe it’s real. I deleted my Twitter account on the spot.
