Deleting the app did wonders for me. Well, Reddit deleted the app FOR me (Apollo user), and I refused to install their adware app onto my phone.
Forced me to only use it on PC, because visiting via phone browser showed like 3 comments on thread, then linked to some other thread, and insisted I install their adware for “a better experience”.
PC I was still browsing and occasionally commenting on old.reddit for a while, with uBlock on high censorship mode. But all my mobile browsing was gone.
… Suddenly I think I understand why a some things with very specific meanings are getting redefined by younger folks who call you names if you don’t accept their new definition.
Was actually just thinking about this yesterday. How do non-binary people determine which restroom to use?
Yes I did do a 30 second search on my phone at work. I’m not clicking on Reddit, and the quick answers of “find a gender-neutral one” and “just hold it” dodge the question of “There’s only M/F available and I am about to piss my pants”.

Learning It’s NOT a sex number, and honestly has no meaning at all, puts my non-horny brain firmly on Team 67. It’s just a giant in-joke. I love it.

This is good to know. I’m gonna pretend it’s true anyways as personal fuel to guarantee I move off of Windows on my next machine. Nothing makes my brain revolt faster than forced subscriptions.
Nope. Not paying a subscription for an OS. My next PC is officially going to be Linux!
Only reason I haven’t yet is I’m lazy and not in the mood to make the huge leap. I can and will mess up the simplest instructions, so I’ll be trying to fix my own screw up for a week, whatever I mess up.
