Made it over several stretches of icey road to get to my office, only to find the parking lots are solid sheets of ice. Called the boss and she said don’t do anything dangerous or silly. Made it back to WFH to discover my work cell phone isn’t working. It’s going to be one of those days. Fortunately the weekend is near and at least my work buddies are there for emotional support. #myday

Got my drivers license renewed today. It’s been six or eight years since I got this one. Went thru all the questions, address, emergency contact, etc. All the same info. Then the clerk asked if I wanted brown or gray for my hair color.
After a pause I said “I don’t care.”
Texted my wife that we are definitely making margaritas tonight.

For the first time since I started having surgeries a few years ago, the boys and I went for a walk along the Five Mile Creek Trail. Charlie had a blast and smelled all the smells and marked the trail as his own. Gumbo looked like he’d just as soon go have a snack and an afternoon nap.
Charlie walked right into the creek but Gumbo, being a House Lab, didn’t want to get his feet wet.

Yesterday was Charlie’s 3rd Gotcha Day. He came to us as a foster, 75-lbs of energy/anxiety. He’d tear the curtains off the front door if I went out without him. I lied for weeks and said he’d just be a foster, but when the rescue agency found a home several states away, I couldn’t let him go. He’s my shadow, my best buddy, and the handsomest goodish guy. And he’s grown into a 100-lb bundle of love and goofiness, the self-appointed defender of the house and back yard, my K9❤️. #dogsofmastodon
