Für Altbauten mit hohem Wärmebedarf wird, soweit mir bekannt, eine Pelletheizung nach wie vor empfohlen. Allemal besser als fossile Brennstoffe und moderne Pelletheizungen stoßen so gut wie keine Feinstäube mehr aus.

Würde man aber Pelletheizungen weiterhin im großen Stil fördern und deren Nutzung empfehlen, dann wäre schnell eine Situation erreicht bei der man den Bedarf an Brennholz eben nicht mehr mit Abfallholz decken kann. Es fällt eben nicht genau Abfallholz an um alle alten Heizungen in Deutschland auf Pellet umstellen zu können.

Das ist letztlich von der Situation abhängig. Die Wärmepumpe wird immer ineffizienter je höher der Temperaturunterschied zwischen Kesseltemperatur und Außentemperatur ist. Die Außentemperatur kann man nicht beeinflussen. Aber bei uns in der Region wird es eh immer seltener “richtig kalt”.

Entscheidend ist also die nötige Kesseltemperatur. Und daher kommt auch die Empfehlung Wärmepumpen am besten mit einer Fußbodenheizung zu kombinieren. Mit alten Heizkörpern lohnt eine Kombination mit einer Wärmepumpe oft nicht.
