Im Freizeitprogramm der #MathematikOlympiade für die Teilnehmenden in Zeit zwischen Klausur und Siegerehrung, in der die Korrektur und Bewertung erfolgt, gab es tolle Angebote, z.B. einen Vortrag von @tomkalei zum #GameOfLife von Conway, eine Führung durch das @MPI_Magdeburg, einen Pixelart-Workshop oder ein Abgebot der Stadtbibliothek im Mathe-Stübchen.

Den feierlichen Abschluss der 65. Landesrunde der #MathematikOlympiade bildete dann die Siegerehrung im Hörsaal 5 der #OVGU mit Musik der #UniBigBand und Grußworten unseres Bildungsministers #JanRiedel aus Halle.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Sundmacher, director and head of SundmacherLab at Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems, has been re-appointed a Fellow of the Max Planck School Matter to Life. His focus here is especially on biosystems engineering and artificial life-like systems from functional modules. 🧫 🖥️

🏆 Dr. Laura König-Mattern will be awarded second prize of Deutscher Studienpreis given by the Körber-Stiftung in the Natural Sciences and Technology section for her doctoral thesis on “Systematic Solvent Screening and Design for Biomass Fractionation Processes,” which she successfully completed at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg in 2024.
This is the first time this prize goes to Saxony Anhalt.
