How can I get rid of thripps on a Monsters? - Lemmy.World

It’s been around since December. I’ve tried weekly sprays of pyretriner, yellow sticky traps, Lavender/Peppermint oil vapor mixes, and recently full costings of diatomaceous earth as well. None of it has worked at eliminating them…

Berghain by Rosalia is a bad song - Lemmy.World

Like I get what the message is and all that, I’ve heard the whole Lux album and have context and all. But the song itself is bad - precisely because so much of it is good. It does some new things with classic styles. She’s a talented singer. But the ending is like finding a turd in a wonderful cake you were eating. I get that’s probably “the point” with the build up, but there were better ways to convey the message. Other songs earlier and later in the album masterfully mix in the discord and show things are wrong without just breaking the song up completely. Heck even having the stupid “I’ll fuck you until you love me” be in Spanish or Italian would have been better than having it in English, for the purposes of flow while still causing a break. It detracts from everything else the song did great, on a technical level, and ends up feeling like a “couldn’t think of a better way to make the point so here’s a couple f bombs”. If the rest of the song was bad or mediocre it wouldn’t have been as bad, but having it in makes it terrible. At least it’s nothing I couldn’t fix in audacity.

Are Stack GUI friendly alternative? - Lemmy.World

Basically looking for an all in one program similar to the Arr stack that’s easy to use. If it needs to / can be set up with an NBZ or Debrid service beforehand it’s fine, it’s mostly on the daily usage part that it should have a somewhat friendly GUI. Also helps if it has or can be paired with an app for remote streaming what’s on the server. Ideally works on Cosmos, but if it can’t for any reason, then CasaOS or Yunohost might be fine too. I’m trying to set up something rather easy to use for my two partners, who are not the most tech savvy, and one of which who really dislikes clunky menus.

How to (safely) create a Lemmy instance? - Lemmy.World

Basically, I want to make one for some multiplayer games out there (along with Stoat communities, or something similar - what do y’all recommend? Bonus if it has voice chat). What would I need, and how can I set this up safely without having my own network hacked beyond comprehension? I could do it off site from home too if that’s better. I have a Raspberry Pi 4gb, but also an old DDR3 16gb desktop with a PCI network card available if that’s recommended.

Saw it in the issues tab, multiple reports on git. Of course it happens with when I’m showing off the new computer gifted to my friend 😁

Solved

It’s the GPU hardware that was the problem 😭. This post can be closed.

Credit to Clearwater who figured out the real issue early on.

At least there is no victory for Microsoft today.
