@[email protected] I'm living in America where social media and :the news media have become blood sport. People who don't know the difference between deeply held beliefs and thug behavior probably aren't on a site to hear a reasoned explanation.

@hagel I come from a long line of American horse pirates, and some of them definitely fit that description. The rest just wanted to see what was on the other side of the mountain.
@beebrookshire I sleep under a blanket stitched together by a now dead cousins from rags. I can look at any square and imagine some story. It's also like a piece of my family's history in the American West. So afghans,, things crocheted, my wife's cross stitching which is remarkably good...you bet.
@jbf1755 I've just joined Mastodon after ignoring Twitter and staying on Facebook long enough to see everyone's kitten and get their recipes for Jello. I'm hoping Mastodon might be the place America and the world needs where ideas on our civilizations and our continuing survival might be discussed at something less than the level of blood feud.
