Hi!
I am in the process of moving my account
Just fyi, if you see me refollowing and all that fun stuff. I'll likely repost a few things too just so my timeline isn't so very empty.
Injured musician, formerly in IT. I am a nature photographer, and amateur artist. I enjoy writing, nature, making playlists, as well as watching movies & tv. You might find me hiking or in the ocean when I'm feeling alright.

Hi!

As the floats stopped showing up on beaches and beach goers stopped searching for them, a group of glass blowing artists decided to donate glass floats each year to the town of Lincoln City, Oregon. This tradition began in 1999. The glass floats are hidden on the beaches throughout the year and retrieved if not found.
This is a fun tradition. Gets people out and walking on the beach, exploring along the city beaches.
So, I found a glass float on the beach this weekend. It was pretty exciting for me as I've wanted to find one ever since I first saw my mom's green glass float when I was very little.
Back before I was born, people used to find Japanese glass floats all over the western North American coasts and probably elsewhere. There are likely a few still out in the ocean, somewhere... They've since been replaced by plastic and styrofoam floats.

Ironically, the thing that made me realize just how much free labor I was providing for Reddit as a moderator wasn’t when a fellow mod quit the site because of how much free labor they were providing.
It was when Reddit offered a bunch of mods an absolutely pathetic “moderator appreciation gift” a year or two back.
Before that, I was still perfectly happy telling myself it wasn’t labor, but just a way of giving back to the hobbyist communities I was part of.
Wanting to test some inking ideas I actually finished this little drawing.
What do you think?
I wrote on my website a little, and more importantly posted photos, regarding hiking near Lincoln City.

I just realized I left out Drift Creek Falls. That will have to be a post all by itself. Such a beautiful waterfall and area.
Annoyed that almost every time I boost queer art from this account someone from off-instance reports it, even the non-lewd, no CW needed stuff, like a m/m couple almost-kissing.
So, please show me all of your queer art for me to boost the almighty heck out of it.
One of the many reasons the Oregon coastal rainforest, dunes and wetlands systems are pretty awesome.
