Of course Apple would collect data when you are using Apple apps! I assume that Google is collecting data from their apps on my Pixel. That said, if you're really concerned about privacy, why would you use devices from a manufacturer you don't trust?

I mentioned Geocities before because this is literally what that set of communities could have looked like today if it had survived. The influx of new faces here is good. But it's important to keep the community mentality intact.

Capitalism is generally good, but it often becomes the enemy of social capital. I guess that's a topic that should at least remain in the back of people's minds here, if not discussed regularly.
