My cluster was behaving really well this time; I hit nearly 300MiB/s client storage throughput - and that's Ceph RBD on different hosters, at different locations in Germany (Nuremberg and Falkenstein), with different kinds of servers (VPS' with some kinda SSD, physical servers with NVMe)

A little story based on a dream last night.

We took the coastal road into town after dark, headlights cutting through the mist and clarifying nothing in the haze but movement. The sea, close and unseen, whispered secrets.
