@pbump pretty fascinating. But it seems like many combinations are repeats, the only difference being which family member answered the survey
@davidbisset it’s still baffling to me how many people who know there are alternatives… still maintain an account and interact with the birdsite.
@georgetakei They realize it. They don’t care. They don’t need new voters as long as they keep their current voters angry, active and gerrymandered.
@Nour @tchambers collecting likes to boost your ego is one thing. But a post’s like count showed level of engagement, the relative size of an interested community to one story/contributor vs another. Also had a wider range of responses there. Here…it feels like you’re at a not-very-well-attended social hour. Or maybe that’s just the random server I’m in? it’s different. Fine, but not as engaging sometimes. Regardless, I’m not going back, lol
@w7voa “a hard-right Trump appointed judge…” some of us sure were outraged when Trump himself suggested rulings could be impacted if a judge was an “Obama judge.” Then we see decisions by Aileen Cannon, or the latest Trump-appointed SCOTUS and we’re all like “hmmm.” Does bias only lean one way?

@pbump So… if NY has such laws on the books, how was the George Santos campaign supposedly “legal”?

Does it have to be a conspiracy?
“…New York state election law, which makes it a crime to conspire to promote a candidacy by unlawful means… including additional false statements…”

@zodmagus agree with everything but the “cowards” part. That implies that they think what they are doing is wrong but are too weak to stand up against it. But actually… most of the GOP in Congress today really seem to agree with and support the results they got while Trump was in office. The ends — and staying in power to achieve them — apparently justify the means for them.
@black_intellect some of these contentions confuse me like, for every white male who wants to control women by forcing them to carry all pregnancies, how many might want to force a pregnant girlfriend into an abortion? Also, why is the rollback a “victory for white life” when the laws apply to non-white women as well? A large percent of anti-abortion folks are (I’m assuming) Catholic… and an increasing % of US Catholics are not white.
@Teri_Kanefield or maybe he DOES know, and is trying to raise as much $ as he can now before the actual charges come out?
@davidtoddmccarty they know who was interviewed tho, right? That’s what they’re basing their guesses
