Could you not apply this “funded by the CIA” argument to other things such as… The Tor Network? Which was created by the US Military Naval Research? Also some US government departments have donated to Tor. Does that mean Tor is breached?

“To solve this problem, we have re-engineered our entire login process to never send the login password to our server, which has the added benefit of helping protect against MITM (man-in-the-middle) attacks.”

Maybe I’m wrong but if I recall don’t you need a phone number and such for a google account which is an identifier?

Steam has Proton now which is a god send for Linux gaming. www.protondb.com which is just a setting in the Steam client.

For games it depends on what might interest you. If you are into history sorta stuff, maybe Civilization V or VI? If you want more of a fun game that a lot of non gamers play, you try The Sims or Stardew Valley. If you want something like the current trend of games, try Helldiver’s 2 or Baldurs Gate 3.

If you ultimately don’t have a preference. Just browse the sales on steam for games that look interesting as well as browsing www.humblebundle.com which can sometimes be good. Just check it against that protondb or look up if the game runs good on Linux first before purchasing.

I know it will eventually be blocked by YouTube like Twitch did but you could try ublock Origin with this filter list or another custom filter list. Works pretty well for me.

Ahhhh thank you. Yes I use LetsEncrypt for all the homelab services which explains it then.

Confused about bot scanning my domain - Lemmy.World

So i have a domain that I have been using solely for homelab and VPS services (domain.example). I have my A and AAAA record for my VPS proxying through cloudflare (proxy.domain.example) and a DNS A record pointing towards my homelab for my home Wireguard (wg.domain.example) with no other records pointing home or anywhere. I have a couple of services at home with certificates for example (proxmox.domain.example, nas.domain.example, router.domain.example) that are using cloudflares API token but they do not have records listed at cloudflare Now my issue is I specifically setup a Cloudflare WAF to block every continent/country except my own and this is now showing in the events that a crawler is attempting to access router.domain.example, nas.domain.example, homeassistant.domain.example. Do I have any reason to be concerned and also how would this web crawler only be searching for my home lab domains. None of these services are public facing.

The account delete option still exists?

The other two I wouldn’t know about because I never used those features previously.
