Completely agree with this.
A lot of folk are treating Mastodon instances like Twitter - they aren't. They're like visiting someone's home rather than an industrial complex (twitter).
Each instance has it's own rules and subject areas - that is part of the strength of the system.

I remember those crazy days in the early 70’s before Neo Liberal Capitalism got out of hand.

When local cows produced milk, processed in our local dairy, delivered by an electric milk lorry, in reusable glass bottles, to all our front doors. (Blue Tits were our enemy). Foil pecked tops!!

No fn supermarkets, zero hour contracts or fn shareholders ripping the wealth out of my town. Same reason the jets go slower. Corporate profit.

Crazy crazy times.
