@TheRedX Lex pulled a large envelope from under his desk and slid it towards Red X.
“Consider this a job opportunity. The details are in there. It’s fairly simple. And you’ll be rewarded handsomely.”
Lex sat quietly in his office, seemingly waiting for someone to arrive

“…I’ll expect the location of the sword to be on my desk by the time I get back. I’ve got some…business to attend to.
Perhaps you and I can discuss things further over dinner and a few drinks. Somewhere private. One of the most exclusive restaurants in the city. Owned by me, of course.”
Lex turned away from her
“…I’ll clear the place for our business meeting. And perhaps then you can be more truthful to me.”
@HexParabeIIum “I don’t ‘fall’, my dear. I only have momentary setbacks. As for power? Believe me. If everything goes according to plan? There will be plenty of power to go around.”

“Do you think this office is out in the open? Believe it or not, it’s quite secure. People know even attempting to steal from me is a horrible idea that will not end well for them.”
@HexParabeIIum “If she were around, I’m sure part of her would be curious at the chance to get some revenge. Regardless…I want that sword. It was my property and I believe as a courtesy, you should help me locate it.”
