these are far from standard for Americans. they’re luxury for sure and they’re called German windows.

you can’t compare old VHS DVD market to digital one today. it’s completely different with no physical formats. with digital media, unlimited copies can be made with no cost. there’s no friction of having physical medium. youre also saying to go back to a system that completely failed.

even if small companies came about, they will have no budget if only a couple thousand copies are being sold and distributed for the whole community if sold at current prices. basic economics will just cause inflationary pressure and they’ll raise the price to fit the demand too. you need large companies to make large productions.

having a small companies also means nobody has a security blanket. you’ll be working in an industry where if your small studio produce a poor movie, your studio will fail and you’re out of a job.

imagine it for us then. what would this model look like and be sustainable?

Gov. Greg Abbott vowed that authorities will work around the clock and said new areas were being searched as the water receded. He declared Sunday a day of prayer for the state.

AccuWeather said the private forecasting company and the National Weather Service sent warnings about potential flash flooding hours beforehand.

Authorities and elected officials have said they did not expect such an intense downpour, the equivalent of months’ worth of rain for the area.

The county had considered a flood warning system on the river similar to a tornado warning siren about six or seven years ago, but Kelly said the idea never got off the ground and the cost would have been an issue.

nah there was a whole episode where people were banging next to where his dissertation was in the NYU library. he ends up banging a girl that was interested in his paper while policing the library next to his paper.
nah back in the 90s, it was a pretty good gig. not rich rich. Ross wasn’t rich rich either. but you made more money than your average Joe and society was way cheaper back then, even in new york. there were also way less phds, so there was higher demand and cost of education was way less. I dropped out of my program in the late 80s for a private sector job, but my friends that continued lived pretty decently.
Ross wasn’t a grad student though. he was a PhD researcher + professor. back in the 90s, that would’ve been a decent gig.

in a multi lane highway, nobody expects you to be blazing when you’re on the outside lane. people only get pissed when you’re driving limit on the inside lane. if u wanna drive comfortably, just use the right lanes so people can pass you if they want. if it’s a single lane highway, don’t give a shit about others as long as you’re not way under the limit. there are almost always overtake sections of those highways where you see the “slower traffic use right lane”.

plus, there are roads with limits higher than 65 all over the place and there are recreational things you might want to do with your car.
