@sol I'll find out who organises these things and chase them. There are/were two briefs with information design elements in our first semester, so I'll see what schemes I can set in motion
@sol I should! Too often our budget is thank yous and small favours, but it'd be good to aim high

@sol Sorry for the wee gap there — there was a bit of a time going on.

Too often the cost of travel feels like it's the wrong way round. I'm not often in London, but next time I am I'll see if we might sync up? (Alternatively, I could try and pitch a trip to your neck of the woods to the university as a study trip?)

@daytonamess Another entry on the list of glyphs I feel I should add to a font, despite never having seen them used.

@sol That's just up the road from me: the beach on the far side is lovely (great open kite flying space) and the local ice cream isn't too bad.

Are you keeping the heid, and keeping well?

@Bahman Is it wikipedia as an institution doing this, or a claque of editors that other editors aren't keeping in check?
@martabernstein I've always liked the sign we use in the UK: calmer as an image, the girl's in charge and it's a wee self-portrait of the designer, Margaret Calvert
James Mosley (1935–2025).
@litherland It's often the precise amount of distraction I need to focus on what someone's trying to say.
