@TechTangents It's the same position I'm in. Google has too strong a position as it is already and we definitely need an alternative engine.

developers, i know how much of a pain in the ass it is to write helpful patch notes for end users.

but from now on if i see “Bug fixes and performance improvements” i’m mentally substituting in “Thoughts and prayers.”

Mozilla should be doing two things and two things only:

1: Building THE reference implementation web browser, and
2: Being a jugular-snapping attack dog on standards committees.
3: There is no 3.

Mozilla should have NOTHING to do with AI. Nobody wants it. Stop forcing AI into every corner of every project because your VC-brained management have completely lost the plot.

Hard aan het nadenken hoe ik mijn bijdrage kan leveren. Aan een beter #klimaat, een prettiger en inclusieve #samenleving en #politiek, een redelijke verdeling van de hulpbronnen en andere middelen in Nederland, Europa en de wereld, en minder afhankelijkheid van de grote bedrijven en hun eigenaren (google, Amazon, microsoft, etc.)
