Larry took one look out and said: 'I've seen that cold stuff before' and hopped back into the byre.
This may be Mopsy's first snow, don't know much about her background.
We have a new partner for Larry. This is Mopsy (original I know) who came to us from Farplace rescue in Weardale. She is about 5 years and has previously been bonded to another male.
She has been here a few days and gradually introduced to Larry. They are wary of each other, no biting but we can't leave them together 24 hrs a day yet. Sometimes it's not instant attraction but we're getting there.
Sad to relate but we said goodbye to Olive today. Health issues, including arthritis, meant she was losing the use of her back legs, had difficulty cleaning herself and moving around.
We medicated and cleaned her every day but her fur became increasingly matted. Yesterday we noticed blood from a cut on a back leg and took her straight to the vet this morning. The vet suggested we consider her quality of life, which was a bit of a shock. We gave her the best life from rescue. RIP Olive.

R-Arrr! 1st mate and ships cat Lily on duty. Those rats better watch out or jump ship! I has crossed the stormy waters of the Pentland Firth to get to these here wild islands!
