@ikt @andrewblasco @EU_Commission Yeah I would imagine it to be an unsafe place for queer people, because those also need clean water, food, housing, electricity and medical supplies (which Israel denies them) and are not extra resistant to bombs or bullets (which are supplied by Israel)
@EU_Commission Fuck off. Palestinians did a peaceful unarmed protest in 2018/19 and Israel gunning down the protesters got a round of shrugs in in Europe. If you like hissing flags of countries operating concentration camps, then, for added irony, you might as well hiss a swastika flag right next to it.
@molly0xfff I wouldn’t necessarily read such a statement as an endorsement of the prison system, although that might be me missing the context or being to optimistic. Atleast some people might have an opinion like ,,the system sucks, but i don’t dislike the result it produced in this specific instance“. Thats my opinion anyway, both because of the scale of harm he caused and because of him belonging to the class of people responsible for the system sucking in the first place.
@molly0xfff Quite depressing if thats the case, to still have that opinion one has to be a serious victim of propaganda. I wonder if people like that are swayed by SBFs situation or if they will just dismiss it as a problem with that specific prison or something that only happened to SBF because of who he is (instead of despite). I sure hope so, because that system needs abolishing, but the idea that THIS is what finally changes someones mind on US prisons makes my head hurt.
@molly0xfff Thanks for the article! Although i felt a bit weird reading it. Not sure how i feel about the ,,really makes you think about the US prison system‘‘ spin, because it kind of doesn’t. There are already so many known horrific examples of that system failing (or maybe working as intended), like guards literally torturing inmates to death, that the suggestion that we gain additional insight from SBF eating peanut butter sandwiches is a bit odd.
@helenczerski @firstdogonthemoon Bluesky should probably get a ,,not yet?‘‘ in the Nazi category as well, there not being Nazis is probably just a combination of it being invite only and Twitter being 1940 Germany at the Moment. I don’t see why Bluesky would be inherently Nazi resistant, especially considering who owns it.
@molly0xfff Its usually more useful to look up the needs of that specific plant and compare the with what you are doing (for example, If its a plant from a dry place that grows in the open, it can’t be too much light and if the soil wasn’t totally dry for days its also not too little water). My guess is that it’s also in general not too much light this early in the year and you can check for too much water by looking at the roots, if its too much water they should be somewhat rotten
@thewritertype Already did! It was expensive but I love my new pen. It’s like it has a mind of its own 🥰
@ionomycin Wow that looks amazing. To the point where it makes me sad there isn’t a movie or animated series for this. If the art style was this cool, i would watch it even if the story was bad. Just absolutely incredible.
@molly0xfff Seems like they are betting it all on those friends mentioned in the article answering with ,,oh it can do that! That’s cool!‘‘ instead of ,,how can it do that?‘‘.
