<h2>Why Speed Frending/Dating & not just Dating?</h2><p>The craving for human connection has been powerful in recent years post-pandemic, and we wanted to create a hub for you all to spark that initial connection. All genders, sexualities, gender expressions, relationship styles, etc., are encouraged to attend our version of Portland speed dating. We support and promote all LGBTQ+ identities, trans, gender expansive, BIPOC, kinky, and relationship expansive or mono folks.</p><p></p><h3>We'll be meeting at one of Portland's newest queer bars, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/MisfitsPDX/">Misfits Bar + Lounge</a>! Come help us in supporting the spaces that support us! Our space is ADA-accessible & stair-free!</h3><p>Creating kinship within queer communities is essential to intersect the isolated silos of trans, cis, and pansexual communities. Building all types of interpersonal relationships between trans, gay, & lesbian communities provide a sense of belonging, promotes advocacy for their rights & challenges stereotypes while fostering understanding and acceptance!</p><p>This event is for LGBTQ+ folks to expand our social circles and call in the connections we long for - whether that’s queer friends, crushes, or someone to u-haul with. This space emphasizes inclusivity for trans and gender-expansive folks, but all queers are fully welcome here!</p><p>This will be our first monthly speed friending event so let's talk about what we want to see in the coming months! Join Kaeli (they/them) as they help us navigate those awkward SNAFUs in scene & keep the passion going without missing a beat(ing). Using intimacy coordination techniques and the pillars of Context, Consent, Communication, Choreography, and Closure, we will cover how to have improvisational scenes within BDSM. After learning the basics, we will put our new skills to use and play some fun improv-based games to get those creative juices flowing!</p><p>Attendees will leave with the ability to work within boundaries, confidently think on the fly, and be able to effectively communicate post scene.</p><p></p><h3>About Kaeli</h3><p>Kaeli works in higher education and is also a local intimacy coordinator who works in the theatrical and events world creating boundaries and trauma informed spaces where traditionally consent was implied, never given, they and their peers are working to change that.
