On August 14, 2024, at 9:04 P.M., a dark colored SUV was traveling w/b on Saticoy Av passing Van Nuys Bl. A pedestrian on the south sidewalk of Saticoy Av began crossing the street heading n/b. The dark Colored SUV collided with the pedestrian, a female Hispanic 76 years of age. The driver fled in the vehicle w/b Saticoy Av, without identifying themselves or attempting to render aid to the pedestrian who sustained severe injuries. Tipsters may also visit www.lapdonline.org.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 10:45 P.M., a vehicle traveling E/B Victory Bl, collided with a pedestrian standing in the 2-way left turn lane. The driver of a dark SUV fled from the scene without stopping, identifying self or attempting to render aid to the pedestrian who sustained severe injuries.

We want to remind Drivers that pedestrians have the right of way at unmarked crosswalks as well as marked crosswalks.
An unmarked crosswalk is at any intersection, without any painted lines, signs, or signals.
Remember, just because there are no painted lines at the intersection, doesn't mean that the pedestrian doesn't have the right of way.
Pedestrians are encouraged to use crosswalks and caution when entering the roadway.

- Avoid distractions when entering the road
