well, here's a nice metaphor as we work on dreaming the next chapter after this one:
Elect me governor of California and I will legalize hitting people who wander aimlessly through parking lots without checking to see if any cars are coming.

As you would expect, McSweeny’s on lookmaxxing is very good

“My abs are as firm as freshly quarried gravel thanks to peptides (which I take subcutaneously) and riptides (which I allow to carry me out to sea during thunderstorms, forcing me to swim ashore or die). So far, I’ve only been declared legally dead twice, and just for five or six minutes each time. My doctor says that the oxygen deficit has left me with the cognitive capacity of a police horse on the verge of retirement.”

At Long Last, I Have Maxximized My Looks

“At long last, I am a stone-cold seven, the kind of guy who could win a Jacob Elordi lookalike contest in a farm town with a population of 200.”

McSweeney's Internet Tendency

Ugh. Somehow scammers have figured out how to generate fake UPS tracking numbers, which makes it really hard (impossible) to get PayPal to refund you.

Their automated resolution system denied my claim because there was a tracking number that showed it was delivered, but it also showed the package was shipped before I bought it! Hopefully I can find a human to fix this shit. :-(

Have I been pronouncing “regex” wrong my entire life?

hahaa! Successfully removed all IR and UV filters from my old Canon EOS 600D, I can do full spectrum, UV and IR photography now!

All of the following photos have been taken with a ~550nm+ lpf, meaning cutting everything under 550nm (blue, purple and uv) off. I love the vibrant pink foliage and dramatic turquoise skies #photography

This article may or may not be worth your time. I just wanted to say that MIT Technology Review may have the worst launch experience I’ve seen in forever. I had to click FIVE CLOSE BUTTONS to get rid of all the upsells, cookie alerts and “install our app” prompts.

The internet sucks

Quote of the day, from a friend who founded a software startup: "You can’t use an LLM in any context where being wrong is a problem."
