As an english only language user, I think the thing that english does with questions is interesting. Like, with exception, you tend to flip a verb and an object. So like, instead of "You did X." It's "Did you X?" And other languages do not do this, I think.

So I'm thinking about a language where instead of doing above thing, you kind of have a questioning gender or tense that you conjugate words into.

The thing is, a story always takes place in a time relative to the present day, if not the present. Even if your present is different from the writer's present.

There's traditionalism, and prior societal structures coded into our conception of them, and that's how they're talked about typically, and I think that that serves as a bias against them. It's not the story's fault that it is old.
