Nice to see they are still working a Trek movie, and also nice to see (IMO) that it could be connected to the main timeline.

"The hope is to have a fresh 'Star Trek' movie, though [Paramount] has moved on from the idea of bringing back Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and the rest of the ensemble from the J.J. Abrams reboot."

The 1977 Coleco Telstar Arcade answered a design question that amazingly no one had asked before: "What if a game console looked like a Wild West take on the TARDIS console?"

/c/fuckai has two dozen mods but ironically only time I’ve ever seen them take action on anyone was when they removed my post asking for recs for a community with more active moderation (lol) I’d like to discuss generative AI from a highly skeptical perspective but with higher standards of quality and without all the mouth-frothy raging and bad memes of /c/fuckai. Does anywhere else like that exist on the fediverse? I don’t care if it’s small/underutilized. And no I’m not interested in creating it myself.

Is there a Lemmy/Piefed community for skeptics of generative AI that's less... dogmatic than this one?

Don’t get me wrong, this space is great for my daily ten minutes hate but I am looking for something more tightly moderated and discussion based.
