Truly one of the most genius books I have ever read. Everett's command of language is exceptional: both poetic and resolute. Some of the content was difficult to digest, such as the injustice, violence, and emotional weight, but there is little comfort in historical accuracy. James deserves every breath of praise it has received, and every bit that is to come.
