The Marvel Augmented Reality App was a mobile application developed by Marvel in conjunction with the AR technology company Aurasma. It allowed users to scan specific Marvel comics to unlock exclusive content such as videos, commentaries, phone backgrounds and more. The app was shut down and removed from all app stores some time in 2015. The Marvel AR App was announced at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival on March 11, 2012, making it the first augmented reality app released by a comic book

I’m reading the 2015 Howard the Duck and it looks like it had companion content available on a now defunct mobile app. What the content ripped and archived anywhere?

This comes into effect pretty soon. I expect a few titles will get caught in the transition.
