Would anyone like to help draw the Gadsden Flag on the Canvas? - Lemmy.world

I’ve plotted out a 100px wide area at ~(226,206) on the Canvas [https://canvas.toast.ooo] (it’s community can be found at [email protected] [/c/[email protected]]), as shown by the 4 yellow pixels at the corners. I’m using this [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gadsden_flag.svg] image as a reference. The reference is placed with a horizontal position of 129, a vertical position of 163, and a width of 100. I’m not great at pixel art, so I’d appreciate the help – I don’t want a “no step on snek” lookin’ thing. — EDIT 1: I have realized that this post may violate Rule 1. Please let me know if that is the case. If so, I will take this post down.

Is it possible to show the name of Firefox tabs in the KDE volume mixer? - Lemmy.world

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/2615118 [https://lemmy.world/post/2615118] > As shown below, it appears that all Firefox tabs are just named “Firefox” within the volume mixer. This doesn’t exactly make differentiating them very easy. Is it possible to make the volume mixer show the names of the tabs instead? If not, is there any feature in the works for this that anyone may be aware of? > > [https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/a9903e8a-c32c-41a5-99f7-752c7198acb1.png]

Is there any project that exists currently that is actively archiving all the content of Fediverse projects?

I’m not sure how practical/sustainable of a project this would be, but I feel that it could possibly be a useful project in the future if instances begin to purge old content due to storage constaints. The archiving service could store all the data using Object storage to archive it in read only. That way, at least people can still view old content in the possible scenario of rampant data loss across the Fediverse.

Is there any plan to implement a timer/cycle for the "Extra Dim" mode? It would be extra nice if I could have it triggered by "Bedtime Mode"

If you look next to the user’s name in a comment when viewing through the Lemmy Web UI [https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui] you’ll see the following: [https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/c72c392a-3a29-4d80-a693-ed9a5cda0053.png] What is this?

Will Lemmy ever archive old posts? - Lemmy.world

On Reddit, one frequently runs into posts that are archived, and thus the user cannot interract with them anymore – motive is stated here [https://www.reddit.com/r/TheoryOfReddit/comments/1d1ojz/why_do_we_archive_old_posts/]. I’m curious if Lemmy would ever do the same.

Can you see if a moderator has removed comments from a thread? Can you see the content of the removed comments? Are moderators able to specify motive for the specific removal?
